Rain Barrels are back! Stephenson SWCD is taking orders for Rain Barrels, Composters and Potting Benches. We have started selling these items on consignment for our vendor, so you can stop in the office or call in your order at any time. The rain barrels are 55-60 gallon converted food product barrels that have been sanitized, assembled with a rain water input, overflow, and drain spigot. Each barrel has a screw-on lid fitted with screening to prevent entry of leaves and debris. The rugged rain barrels stands 35-40 in. high. Cost of rain barrels is $65.00 these come in black, gray, blue and terra-cotta.

Eliminate back strain with this hip level composter it is made with recycled components, including a pre-used 55 gallon black barrel and 100% recycled lumber painted with water based latex paint. The composter is about 4 foot tall and only requires a 3 foot by 4 foot area. Cost of the Compost barrels is $115.00. 

Potting benches are made from upcycled fence panels and posts. The potting bench is designed for the homeowner who lives in an apartment, condo or townhouse and wants to collect and conserve water for their deck or patio plantings. The potting bench has a roof over it designed to channel water into a rain barrel. The roof collects appoximately 15 gallons per 1/2" of rainfall. The overall length of the bench is 2'x5' x 32" high. Cost of potting benches is $175.00.
